i have a steel city lathe, that the stop switch is not turning off The lathe.
Also when its running the motor is surging.
Is this all the same problem?

I didn't notice the motor surging when my switch went out. Good news is the switches are now back in stock and a free warrently replacement.

gwd, more than likely the surging is related to the switch, it was on mine. Also, the new switches seem to be much better than the originals.

I just bought a foot switch from HF
