Can you cut the canes with just a sgl edge razor blade? Do I need to build a jig for the toaster oven to keep them verticle while bakeing? Anybody have a tutorial? I have the short 1 written by Toni.

I bought a slicer for PC at Michael's for about $5 and it is super sharp. Try the razor blade, it may work or it may crush the clay but won't cost anything to try; I'm guessing it's too short. I made a stand for the oven by drilling 1/4" holes in a scrap of wood and sticking dowels in it about 2" long and it works fine.

Go to Michaels, Hobby Lobby, etc and buy a polymer clay blade a razor blade will smush the cane.

When you cut it with the polymer blade don't push down to cut it, but slice across it so as not to squish the design.
