hey gang - i made this pen for my daughter's friend that is stationed in Iraq.
i did cast each and every color.
the blue is blue pearl-x with blue opaque dye
the red is powder coat red
the white is powder coat white with a little pearlized pearl-x added
all this on a chrome double twist cigar
this will be mailed to him in a 'CARE' package that she is putting together for him.

That is a great pen, good calculations on the stripes, or you got real lucky, either way it's a fine salute to Americas service men and women

thanks everyone for all the kind words.
i'm really enjoying casting -
and for all you doubting thomas's, the whole idea with 13 stripes, WAS planned. LOL
i actually measured the tube then divided it up into 13, then cut them a hair wider, so i could sand each face before i did the glue up. i think i got more glue on my fingers than on the slice-n-dices

i'll be glad to bring it to the get-to-gether as long as it's still here, remember it's for a service member in his care package. and i don't see her waiting 3 weeks before mailing it out....i might be able to talk her into it though.....we'll see

thanks again for the 'look-sees'

That is EXCELLENT and will be well received.

Recently I made a Baron for a friend of mine that just became a US citizen.

Ken Nelson engraved the Pledge of Allegiance on the Blue field with White filling. Looks like stars.

(I can never spell the word Allegience, er Allegiance, correctly :frown: )

hey all!!!!
good news
my daughter tells me that she'll wait on shipping the pen to her friend so that others may see it at the SOUTHWEST MISSOURI PENTURNERS PICNIC.

the picnic is getting closer
