Stabilizing Blanks

I read a while back about some stuff that pool cue makers use.

I belive it was on this forum.
The material was reported to penetrate 3/4"
Has anyone used this?
What type of results?

I believe what you are referring to is called Nelsonite. I tried it and am disapointed to say that I was not happy with it. It did not seem to add anything to the wood even after soaking for up to three days. Oh well, can't win em all.
