Drilled, squared.... felt soft while turning.... blew out as I was getting closed to finished. It felt exceptionally soft... It has been sitting in hot Florida garage for 6 months. Should stabilized wood hold up better. Is there no magic to it. Maybe it was not such a great job as it was being stabilized?

I've had it happen to me before with "professionally" stabalized blanks. It kills me blowing $10+ on a blank just to have nothing to show for it.

You should reach out to whoever you got the blank from. They would likely want to make it right. I have done some stabilization for others and sold stabilized blanks and would want to know if there are issues.
