Split knot

Now that I had a set up for doing a 70 degree knot I tried something Ive been wanting to do, split a knot between the top and bottom halves of a pen. Toni twist with a sassafrass blank with the knot from red oak and mahogany.

I think it could look equally interesting if the blanks were rotated ninety degrees so the loops are at the nib and finial.
