I made these for my grandson's birthday party, 15 total. These were made for all his friends to take home after the party. I used walnut and popular and mahogany woods.

Our local AAW chapter goes to the Ozark Empire Fair here in Springfield every year and we make tops to give away to the kids. This lasts 9 days and we see lots of people.

This year there were many returning families that told us that the kids looked forward to watching us make their top for them last year and wanted to see it again.

Tops are fun!

I've made a few myself. They are fun and easy. That's a nice group you have.

The turning club here collects tops all year long and donates them to the children's hospital. Many of the kids are too sick to do very much but they can play with the tops.

Aren't they a lot of fun? And the appreciation from the kids is more than worth the time/effort/materials.
