Spindle brush

When I bought a new lathe, I needed a tool to keep the headstock morse taper clean. I know that I could buy one of those green things, but it seemed like more fun to make something.

The working end is a 20ga shotgun brush that I bought for less than $3 at a sporting goods store. The handle was a pen blanik.

I use almost the same thing.I use a 20ga swab and when I think it's durty,I use the swab with some thinner on it.
