Friends,
Our 10 week old granddaughter Katie will undergo open heart surgery tomorrow morning (Friday January 17) in Rochester New York. Her condition is called Tetraology of Fallot, and although it is reasonably common and understood, I'd really appreciate your prayers for the doctors and nurses, and put in a good word for her big sister Ellee (3 years) and her mom and dad.

This is hard.

Thanks
Tom

Almost lost my son when he was 9 weeks old; yes horrible and prayed to switch places. Keep hope - son is now 22.

Prayer done. Hope al goes well.

Best regards!

Mark

Prayers sent for her and all involved. It's amazing what they can do for these little ones - a cousin of mine underwent similar surgery when he was 5 months old about 3 years ago. It was tough on the family at the time, but he's doing great now. I pray that Katie will have the same outcome.

Lord we ask that you look over and relax this family's mind as the doctors and nurses do their job on this precious child . And please lord guide the doctors and nurses as they do their work. In Jesus name I ask this Amen

Katie will not be out of the woods Tom, but should have a bright future! Been to several of these and the guys and gals that do it know what they are doing. Prayers sent and more tomorrow!!

Tom, my prayers to you, Katie and your family as well as the medical team. Praying for a rapid and successful recovery.

From Robin's facebook page just now:

Katie is out of the OR. She is doing great. They fixed everything. Surgeon said he would be very surprised if she ever needs another heart surgery. They made the right choice doing the surgery early. We got to see her for a moment. She looked beautiful. The rest of the day is critical and we have to avoid infection but there is no hint of a problem at the moment. Thank you everyone for all the prayers, thoughts and well wishes.

Thanks everyone for the support. Prayers do work!

Tom
