I bought these as a bowl blank from my local woodworking store. Been storing it about a year. Just cut it into pen blanks yesterday. I'm quite happy with the designs nature applied. They are very solid and I don't think they'll need any stabilizing. Definitely going to try some without stabilizing, but then again, I may want to dye some of them.

Very attractive pile you have got there, Ken.
Plenty of pens coming out soon?
I haven't made a pen in a bit. Doesn't stop me from buying pretty wood when I see it. Been dealing with tendonitis in my wrists, so been taking it easy in the woodworking dept.

That's a really nice collection of blanks.

I'd sure stabilize before turning. If not, have some thin CA handy as you go.
