Beatiful wood,beautiful pen!
As a suggestion on the picture,did you consider a different back ground for the .
The wood seems to get "lost" in the pink background.
I sense an off white color in the elm,a more neutral backgroound might show it up better.
I realize this isn't the photography forum,but for some reason the lower section of the pen(the horizontal one) seems to lose clarity on the edges.This is not the case with the vertical piece.

Thanks guys,

I took the pics in haste...too excited to share []. I will take pictures at daylight of my later pens instead and promise to choose to a better background.

There are colors on this pen that didn't show. It does have a bit tinge of pink on some areas and the spalting have lots of green actually (multi-colored). The blank is a bit biased cut (about 10-15 degrees) and the end grains are just wonderful []...but none of those showed. I am not a photographer and my equipment & setup made it worse.
