I harvested a pile of pecan wood today with some beautiful heart wood & spalting. If you would like some, let me know what sizes you want & what you're willing to offer for it.

Edgar--looks good!! Large flat rate box. One piece cut to fit would be fine, otherwise a couple of 3" +/- thick layers with 4" to 8" +/- squares and fill it up. Name your price to 46350. Thanks!!

Thanks Earl - I think one or two of these pieces can be trimmed a bit to fill a LRFB. I'll let you know.

Thanks Edgar. No particular rush, i retired last week--won't be going back to "consult" for a few weeks. But...there should be some shop time coming up, along with replacing a few decks, putting in the garden, new drain field, general clean-up and clearing access to tools!!

Is it green? Are there pieces big enough to use as blanks for pepper mills?
It is green - I'll wrap them in plastic for shipping after I cut them to size. I haven't checked the MC yet, but I'm guessing around 20%.

What sizes do you want for your peppermills? If I can't get what you want out of this batch, I can certainly cut longer chunks next time.

Green is fine, just have to wait to use it. For mills, I like 8-10" long pieces, about 3 /12-4" thick. This allows for varying heights of grinder based on what the wood gives me to work with.

I might be able to get some like that from this batch. If not, I can surely cut some that size next time we go to the farm. I'll let you know.
