Spalted Hackberry Root

Had to baby this one to finish. Beautiful thick/wavy spalted lines on a piece that came off of a hackberry root. 10 coats of thin CA-finish on Caraberra/Atlas kit.

Good choice on the kit. I always like to pair spalted woods with black kits. Looks sharp.

That's the beauty of pens, the smallest of roots are still in play unlike with other larger projects and the black with that spalt really pops.
