A few weeks ago, I traveled to Brazil on business, and met/befriended a luthier who kindly gave me a plank of violet rosewood, from which I made the attached items plus a few more. The pens will go to my colleagues involved in that trip. A lot of fun from one hunk of wood! And now I know the kind of souvenir that I like most when I travel: hunks of wood. Okay, and maybe some nice cachaça.

Very nice assortment.

My wife had a business trip to Belem (I think). She wanted some pens to give away as this was her second trip there (she has since retired).

I used MonkeyPod or Raintree Wood; Brazilian Rosewood; Mango; Black Palm; and Brazilian Tulipwood. Nice selections of timbers.
