I am interested in obtaining some pen blanks made of woods from Russia. Can anyone suggest a source? Also would like to find out species of woods from Russia.

The Russian Olive Burl at Arizona Silhouette is from Utah.
For the most part, Russian woods are not distinguishable from those found in other parts of Europe, therefore they are rarely advertised as "Russian". Russian forests are mixed with conifers (e.g. Norway Spruce, Scots Pine and Larches) predominating. Predominantly conifer forests represent 51% of Russia's forests. The other 49% are broadleaved dominated and include species such as Birch, Aspen, Willow, Oak and Beech.
