This is the second segmented vessel I have made. This was made for the "Turn on Chicago" which is the beginning of August. This is a donation for the auction. It has 432 pieces of mostly tiger wood, some holly and some Wenge. It stands about 8 inches counting the finial.
I really loving doing these even if they take a long time.
The base is a piece of maple spray painted a mat black.

Is the turning completed on the inside too?

You must be a very patient person to do the glue-up on something like this...all them pieces. The finial is straight-up awesome!!!
