Something I've been working on

I spent some time this last weekend working on a logo for my business cards and this is what I came up with. I would appreciate any feedback about what you like, what you don't like or what you, maybe, would have changed.

I like the basic idea. You might consider a different pen, something like a cigar, with curvy lines to offset the angular nature of the lathe. Good job! (You can delete and resize that image if you want...)

You might also try putting the pen at an angle to make it a little smaller top to bottom..

If you pictured a clip on the pen, it might be more quickly recognized, but other than that, it works for me.

OK, those are all good suggestions and I thank you for taking the time to share your ideas. I am currently working on a couple of changes to the design and I will certainly keep what all of you said very much in mind.
