Amongst all of the issues of the world, health issues of IAP members and their families, and bears and pythons stealing wood from firewood/turning wood piles; here is something pleasing to the eye and cheering to the soul!!

This is not a health item, animal stealing something, and not a turned item.

This is a male black chinned hummingbird on a pride of Barbados. The picture was taken outside of mother's kitchen window (and she has had recent cardiac issues also).

We have one that visits our yard every day. We feed it and it is a pretty friendly little guy even with 3 and 4 cats around. He/she has flown and hovered right in from of my wife when she is seated at the patio table he almost landed on her finger one day. The best thing was when 6 young wild turkeys landed in our back yard scared the dogs and cats where they all stayed inside and looked through the sunroom window. I live inside the city limits but yhere is wildlife/buffer zone for the sewage treatment plants close by that allow these guys to thrive and I would estimate about 100 turkeys are in various flocks/families in the area. We get them over here 2 or 3 time a year but never around thanksgiving.

Ron, Thanks for reminding us that sometimes, we need to slow down and enjoy the beauty God gives us every day. It inspired mw to go outside and sit on the porch and enjoy a cup of coffee while my best girl (beagle named Holly) romped and ran in the yard. Be blessed ALL my friends! Loyd
