These are some small and mid size burl plates that I have been working on for a while and finally got them finished. They are all sanded to 400grit and sprayed with Krylon Clear Varnish.
It has taken a while for my fingers to heal:eek:, but all is good now.
The photos go from top to bottom of each piece,
The burls are mostly Gimlet (Eucalyptus) and the bigger ones are Jarrah and Salmon Gum.
]Hope you like them and thanks for looking.
C & C welcome as usual.

Bob.

Looking good from down south in Arkansas! Temps in the 100's & humidity almost as high has made it difficult to turn...Going to S.W.A.T. in Waco, Texas in a week I hope to pick up a few burls down there!

Those are beautiful Bob! I can see why you haven't posted for a bit.

It must have been a bugger to finish off the bottoms without the ability to use a vacuum chuck or cole jaws.

Excellent artistry.

Those are really nice. I especially like the darker wood one, what type of wood is that? Many of us might have been inclined to toss that due to all of the checks and splits. You made it look great. What wood is the very last one also?
Thanks
Bob

Glad to hear that your Fingers are Finally Now Out of the Splints, Bob. :doctor:
And that the Blood Clots have Eventually Dissolved.
Also Very Pleased to Notice that you did a Great Job of Not Bleeding on the Burls, Well Done.
What a Wonderful Assortment of Eucalyptus Burls.
The Jarrah, looks like it could have a Very Aggravated Temperament.
Excellent Turning, Ridiculous Sanding, and Fantastic Finish.
Your Bowls and Plates are Incredible, Definately the Product of a True Masochist.
Congratulations, :good:
Brian.

Hi Bob,
The dark one is a very old piece of Jarrah.
