Here are some recent bowls that I have completed over the last couple of weeks.:)
The first one is a piece of robutacion's lovely "Golden Wattle", man I love this wood. The colours are outstanding.
The second one is another of robutacions "Macrocarpa" blanks. Been sitting on my shed floor for a couple of years now, and I thought they needed to be used.
The bowls are both sanded to 400 and polished with Shellawax Glow.
The Golden Wattle measures 8" x 3", and the Macrocarpa is 8.5" x 2".

Hope you like them and as usual C & C welcome.

Thanks for looking.
Bob

Absolutely stunning Mark, both blanks produced good pieces but you are correct, that Golden Wattle (New/younger tree) is just special..!

Cheers
George

Thanks Bill, yeah, that GW is real nice, I still have one piece left.
Cheers,

Bob

Yep, I got my wires crossed, I knew that was you but, the fingers types something else, sorry.

Glad that you got a few of those blanks, I'm not sure if I have some more of that hidden away, probably not, which is a shame, huh?

Oh well, nothing last forever...!:)

Cheers
George

Beautiful work. I had been on the fence about getting a lathe that will turn larger bowls than my Rikon 12 inch (max) pen lathe would allow, then your post just pushed me over the line. Thanks a lot!
