Some pens for the Troops

These are in the mail to Mark Mayo for his recent call to make some Pens for the Troops.

It's been a while since I made 20 pens in a week (as well as a PITH). I think I'll start earlier this year, especially since I have my process a bit better.

Of the first 15, most are Corian, with a few odd pieces of trustone, PR and some mystery materials. The last 5 are random kits and materials.

What a nice BIG gesture, Mark !!

I think the main point is that it lets the troops know that somebody other than immediate family is thinking of them and "has their back".

I can imagine being in that position and feeling heartened as a result of receiving such a pen.

Thanks to both Marks for doing this. . And a huge big THANK YOU to the troops !!!!!

Thanks Chuck. These were fun to make. I have a huge supply of the 2" Corian samples, and doing the modified Slimlines are fun - makes me practice some skills.

After I pause, I will start another batch for later this summer/fall. They were fun, and kept my skills in tune.
