Here are some of the pens that i have made this last week.

Barons with Alternative materials.

Dark Red Coral, Horn, Leopard, Green Onyx & Ivory.
The leopard came out more like a Tiger[]

Three with wood from BigRob777
Top to bottom, X-cut Zebrawood, Lacewood & Kingwood

Finally a couple more desk pens.

One in Laburnum with a Alternative Ebony end.
And one with the Leopard Acrylic

Very nice work. That desk pen design is really nice. I do have a question about it though. Does the pen screw into the stand or did you dispense with the threaded insert?

Where are you getting the Ivory, and is it solid color or is there some fleck in it. I am looking for solid ivory or white. Prefer 3/4 sq.

Gerry, I have used the threaded insert, i feel that they fit a lot better with this.

Terry, I have got my Alt Ivory from Craft Supplies in the past, but i now get it from a supplier of here in the UK. It has always come in rod form, i think you can get it in bars but these are not normally square and would need cutting to suitable sizes. As far as the markings go there are some very slight markings/graining appearance to them.

Thanks for the plug. These are gorgeous pens. BTW, the middle pen is sheoak, though it is a bit lacy. I'm glad to see you did well with the zebrawood x-cut. I blew mine out by using the skew as a scraper after shaping the barrel. I just can't seem to get the hang of x-cut wood. I'll keep trying.

Your idea for the panaches is really nice. It is also puzzling. Awesome work.

Nice group of well made pens. Great work and design on the desk set! One of the cooler ideas to come along. You'll probably be seeing a few of these pop up.

Andrew very nice! Love the desk sets. Did you pour yor base for the acrylic desk pen? Or is the pen a cut off from the base? All look really nice.

Charles: both the pen and the holder came from a block of the Leopard Acrylic which i purchased (i would love to be able to pour acrylic like this[])
The base is a slice cut at 90 degree and for the pen cut at 45 degree to allow for a more random pattern.
