I have been on vacation this week and decided to play around with some napkin rings using cut-offs I had kicking around.

I got the hardware ( kits ) from Bear tooth Woods. The rings are not secured permanently. The napkin is holding them in place for now. The blue mesh water ones still need some interior work as some marks from drilling need to be removed.

Enjoy.

VERY pretty indeed ? .... I assume the colored rings are segmented, so how did you hid the joins ?

The material is just a short section of a 1-1/2 square stopper blank/call blank.

I made a wood mandrel to turn them on. I used a spacer for the short ones.
It worked out pretty nice.

Pics are of a few more and the wood mandrel. The wood block is threaded for a 1 x 8 thread. I have a tee nut buried in it to tighten the wood cylinder to it. I support it all with the tailstock.

Thanks for the kind words. They are a pretty simple project and could be made without the metal hardware if one wanted to go that route.
