Where can I get some solid PVC? I have heard it talked about on here on several occasions, but cant seem to find any around here. I have looked at Lowes, Home Depot, and Marvins Windows and Doors. Info appreciated. BTW, I'm looking for red, white and blue. Tim

How thick a piece are you looking for? I have seen large sections of water or sewer pipe that had wall thicknesses of 3/4" or more. A plastic pipe supplier may have couplings or short pieces available you could cut up. If you know anybody in the heavy construction industry they could be a source of PVC.
There are a few sources for custom PVC shapes or colors. This is one:

PVC is also used as a sign substrate. I've seen 1/2" thick but I believe you can get up to 1" thick. Check with a local sign shop to see if you can pick up some of their drop off.

BTW, it comes in 4'x8' sheets.

IMO, PVC wouldn't make a good pen blank, to soft.

Edit in,
It's called Sintra

PVC is available from McMaster-Carr in different shapes, in clear and gray

The cap of this pen was made from PVC, but I cannot remember who I bought it from for the life of me. I got some black, orange & blue rods. The pen was a collaborative work I did with Anthony Turchetta.

Thanks Frank, I have heard that also. In fact, about 99.975% of all my pens are made from that material, but when one of my customers want plastic, I want plastic[8D]. Tim
