Thanks for the compliments. Yes, this one's for the ladies at work...although if I recall correctly, Gerry first suggested it. The prickly pear cactus is cast in plain old polyester resin. The inside of the barrels is painted prior to inserting the tubes.

Sweeeeeet! Definitely a lady's pen. I was thinking of doing this with louffa (sp?)sponge last year, but someone beat me to it.
