Atlanta is having too much fun with the snow and ice today. I wish we could afford to keep up the logistics required to keep all the roads clear like they do up in the northern states but you know how that goes.
This would be a good day to warm up the shop and turn a few. I had surgery Friday for a hernia repair and I'm just getting mobile enough to handle a little play. I wish I was fit enough to wade out in the snow for a bit of photography, much as I dislike getting my feet cold. Seems these interesting events always occur at inopportune moments, eh?
How is everyone else doing? Made your snowman yet?

I was amazed that no one had tried to drive out of our subdivision as late as 9AM. Young neighbor went out, started his truck, brushed off the hood and windows. He's evidently thought better of it as he's now shut off the motor.
We have about 6 inches. No ice, yet.

Poor dog had to try three different doors before she could (would) go outside to pee.

Me? I'm in the shop all day. I bought my milk and loaf of bread yesterday.

Yea we may be getting that storm you guys have in a couple of days. Hopefully it will brush by us as I have to drive to southern Maine (2.5 hour drive) so here's hoping.

I'm with you! Warm up the shop and stay in and wait to see what happens next. Hope you're back "up and running" soon after the surgery.
Gotta love snow in the ATL!

The storm that hit you guys in Ga. also dropped 8" of snow in the upstate of South Carolina. On top of that we are getting the freezing rain.I,m ready for spring!!!

We had six inches of snow over the weekend and the streets are all clear and the temperature is going to -10 tonight. Guess the good part is that the snow is gone.

Good to hear you are up and around. Snowed about 4 inches here. Streets and roads are starting to clear, but school has been cancled for tomorrow. Nice change, but am ready for it to go.

Do you realize that our ski resort here up north WHERE THE SNOW SHOULD BE have to make their hown snow because we are not receiving enough !
Come on, don't keep it all for you :)

We had between 4 and 6 inches of snow here in Tucker, Ga. My shop is in a seperate building from my dwelling and the only heat is a little kerosene heater. I ain't 'bout to get out. Vickie (loml) won't let me put a lathe on the dinning table. Come ooooooon spring time.

snow

We got about 4 inches here.I still had to go to work. I got off early though and got in a little shop time. We are supposed to get 1 or 2 more inches early in the morning and it is going to get down to about 15 degrees after that! the snow won't melt in that. My shop isn't heated so I will have to wait for it to warm up.

Gary:
I think all of our recent immigrants from Cleveland each brought a suitcase full of bad weather with them:). It's the only explanation!
