I think I have at last conquered Snakewood. Three or four years ago I said, it isn't a question of would it crack but how long before it would crack." I have several Snakewood pens that are three years old. Here are some I have just done with the exception of the last pair - they were done three years ago.

Beautiful. I've not tried snakewood, all i've read has me scared to try!!

Curious--what is the hardware on the 1st and 3rd pens? Look to be Dayacom in both cases. Thanks.

I believe there is different grades of snakewood and the reason some is just prone to crack and others not so much. Can not be sure but something I read on another forum. Nice job

I've often said if it doesn't crack as a blank, there is no reason why it should crack as a pen if proper techniques are used to avoid heat and avoid stress. Nice job.
