Snakewood

Hi!
Turned this lovely piece of snakewood today. On a gunmetal Berea Atracia kit. Really happy how this came up!

I have never turned Snakewood, but I have got 2 pen blanks in the drawer for one day.

Ah Snakewood, the most prone wood to crack. I hope you have good luck with the pen and it stays just the way it looks now for many many years. It sure is a beauty. Thanks for showing.

If you would not mind sharing some secrets you went through while making this pen and prepping the blank and finishing to try to avoid the possibilities of cracking in the future.
