Yes however it is still a nightmare to drill and to work with I have a few blanks awaiting keep putting them on the back burner there are literally thousands of more attractive to turn blanks that I have that will come before Snakewood, Ebony, Palm when the joy and ease of turning means so much to me now, been there and done that wiser now.

Kind regards. Peter.

So, sealing the ends of the blank with CA, and using a CA finish will keep it from splitting? Or is it something else? I'm going to go search all those snakewood threads again!

I've found I have to drill the blank, let it sit for a few weeks, drill again, check it again in a few weeks and drill again if needed. Yes it does move that much. I then glue the tube in using rubberized CA available from Exotics.
