Wood is SnakeWood (not a super grade).

Most impressive! Great shots. Still trying to wrap my mind around it. How are you getting everything so equally spaced with a wave? I'll just stare and wonder. Thanks for sharing - This is a pen I would love to see on the front page!

My best guess...

1. turn round on the lathe
2. use indexing feature on lathe to lock blank into position
3. rout channel using a small router with a curved template

I use a 4 axis cnc machine but I bet this could be done with a Beall Pen Wizard.
Cut the slots then glue in the strips.
