Hey guys,
Made a new puuko knife, the blade is a Helle Fjording Triple Laminated Carbon blade sandwiched with stainless on snakewood, it is 2.75" long. Bolster is nickel. Awesome blade, scary sharp.
I was hesitant working with snakewood but heck I have several awesome pieces I collected over the years so why not!? Drilling process was something so was the shaping and sanding. It's not going to crack like pens since it is substantial. I had tools rehandled in snakewood in my garage for years and they have been stable.
It's been sanded up to 1500 grit and finished/cleaned with some danish oil.

Thanks,
