I just had to make a snakewood pen, knowing full well that it will crack at some point. So why not go all out and dress it up in a 0.925 Solid Sterling Silver El Grande?!

Comments, critiques, and bets on when it will crack are welcomed. [8D]

Thanks for the encouragement guys! In hindsight, the El Grande may not have been a very good choice for this wood due to how thin the wood gets. I should have chosen a kit that allows more meat on the barrels. This piece of snakewood comes from BB, fwiw.

nice looking pen, cracks.....some do, some dont, just tell your customers that because
it's like a fine piece of furniture it will expand and shrink with moisture, may crack and over time may change color and tone. All this does is add character to a fine hand made gift.

Yep, that's exactly what I did. [:p] Glad I did too. This pen is not for sale, I wouldn't risk it on a customer.
