I'm wrapping and gluing real snakeskin on a turned wood sleeve . Any ideas on how to then coat the snakeskin to permanently seal the flakes in? Will CA glue do it? I don't want to go thru the liquid acrylic molding process. Thanks Chuck

I think you will be better off scraping the scales off. This would give you the bare skin to finish. I coat the skins with a good layer of ca.

Flakes? I presume you are referring to the scale flaps/covers. I suggest yuou remove them. Then apply several layers of CA...build up a covering of CA...since you don't want to cast. Stamps are done this way. Penn State has a video on creating a stamp pen by building up several layers of CA. Search youtube for it.
Do a good turn daily!
