I've seen people make pens with the casing being the bottom half and the top out of wood or antler. I had a little time so I thought I'd try a snakeskin. I also wanted to shape the top like the casing. Not too bad for the first try. I thought about adding the rim as well but I didn't want it to chip with all the time in casting the blank. Maybe on the next one I'll turn a pice of walnut and try the rim. Questions and Comments Welcome. Thanks
