Here is a cigar pen I finished yesterday. This was my first attempt at casting snakeskin and this one came from a buddy of mine that "dispatched" it hiding under his smoker grill. I paired it up with a nice piece of Texas mesquite and satin copper hardware. Excuse the photo quality...I'm still working on my photo tent and light setup. Thoughts/comments/critique is welcome.

There is nothing wrong with your first attempt as snake skin casting. Your pen is spot on for finish and kit. The photos are good also. Good exposure, framing, focus and lighting. Way to go.

Beautiful pen with great combination of mesquite and snakeskin...both from down in South Texas!

It's beautiful, but I get the heebie jeebies just looking at it. That snake still ain't dead enough to suit me!
