My second Smoking Pipe from PSI. The blank is an inlace acrylester called Inferno, from Woodturningz. I made this one for another friend who occasionally partakes.

I didn't paint the blank or tube, but I did color the epoxy, just in case.

I like the idea of coloring the epoxy. Such a simple solution to a oft times unsuccessful attempt when trying to paint the tube.
Brilliant, give this man a Guiness

If I know or suspect that the blank is translucent, I'll go ahead and paint the blank and tube, as well as color the epoxy.

Good idea. I have heard that paint can come off when the tube is inserted into the blank. Coloring epoxy is also used for epoxy coating on fishing rod wrappings.
