Back in the spring I had to trim the rose bushes..apparently it's a man job, even though I don't care about roses. One of them had a big dead stem and when I went to trim it down the root came with it. Big enough for a single barrel pen, so I tossed it in the shop. Here it is, cast with some pink and white. It's pretty cool looking. It is almost like a walnut burl. The root was hollow in the center along with all the root intersections ..it's like all the heartwood rots away or maybe it isn't there to begin with.
