I've had this wonderful piece of solid walnut just hanging around my shop for years. Finally got around and put it to good use. Notice the 'cast' family picture that adds that nice little touch. So not to leave the little table too lonely, I made a companion pen case. Hope that you enjoy the results as much as I've enjoyed sharing these with you.

i like dabbleing in wood working like that but I never thought of putting a pic in the middle like that. That looks pretty cool.

Nice work and a great looking family there, Peter! I take it the pen case won't be there all the time, since it covers over the great pic!

Does the pen box have something to stop the pens banging against each other?

Hi Phil,

yes, there are "clear" plastic trays that seperate and keep the pens from banging into each other. I like using these trays since they do not detract hiding from the beauty of the wood.
