I think this is the right place to post this...... The last time Evelyn and I were at HF she picked up a pack of small spring clamp I think they are 7/8" and come in a pack of 6 for $1.00. I have used them for clamping small projects but Evelyn had another idea. Bag clips and they work great. They don't take up as much room in a drawer as most other bag clips and I think they hold better.

Been using them for bag clips for years since the "bag clips don't seem to last long! another use is for 2 of the on each end of a card recipe or instructions, holding them vertical or off the counter by having them at the top side and laying the card down.

They also work for holding the towel around her neck when doing a hair color change and can't find the fancy saloon type clip.

I also use the larger version of that clamp to hold my acrylic blanks when I reverse paint them. I simply put the acrylic blank in the clamp, hold it over an open trash barrel and give it a few spritzes with the spray paint of my choice. In five seconds, the blank in reverse painted and my hands are clean. No muss not fuss. These are very handy little clamps.

Most all of my recipes are on the computer, so I print them out. I took a skirt hanger (with the two metal clips that hold the waistband of the skirt and a swiveling hook) and clip the pages to it, then hang it on the door handle of my upper cabinets. It hangs on the curtain rod above the sink when not in use. I use the HF plastic clips for bag clips and in place of twist ties.

I used some of the huge versions of those clips on large bags of dog food when we had dogs. (Feels weird not having dogs around when I basically have had them all my life).

Now I use the clips on huge bags of bird food and peanuts. Seems that the squirrels and blue jays have become my new "dogs" ...
