So, I take Son_of_Proud_Poppa to the dentist, today, and I recall reading a while back where some folks were praising the virtues of dental picks. At the end of the visit, I ask the dentist if he has any old dental picks he was thinking about tossing and, sure enough, he takes me and Son_of_Proud_Poppa to the back, and he pulls open a drawer full of the things. Long story short, the boy and I walk away with a dozen of them.

I wish I could remember what y'all use these dental picks for. But, when I remember, I sure enough have a dandy inventory of them ready to go to work.

Use them to make the stars and stripes pen. At least thats what the video I saw used them for.

Rob, how is it that you know so much and you've been a member for only nine days? Do you work for the KGB? Seriously, I do recall that use, but there's another use that's nagging at me that I can't recall. Anyone else wanna weigh in? I've got a dozen dental picks waiting for a little action.

I remember someone saying they used it to make captive rings. (I think that's what they are called.)

Aside from turning wood, they are great for picking stones out of tire treads and they are great little spring hooks!!
