small antler

Got this from a new guy here at the shop. He said he got the rack at a flee market for a couple of bucks and didn't need this half. Guess I'll make him a pen in trade The lower part of my tool box is 35" tall, just for reference.

I can't tell, is that axis? If so a any axis antler over 36 inches long is a trophy.

Definately elk. A typical axis has 3 points on each side and the configuration is different.
