Sloppy fit of cigar pencil?

I've noticed the cigar pencil 'sounds' loose and sloppy when you operate it. I've got four of them and they all do it. They work just fine...but the 'cheap' feel is worrisome. Anybody else?

I had several that were that way too. I wasn't to crazy about them so I took them apart and made them pens.

KC: Who are you buying your kits from?? I bought one of the Schmidt 0.7 mm pencil refills for the Perfect Fit pen from Berea and it works "perfectly" in my cigar pen. No noise or "cheap" sounds of any sort.

I got mine from a Woodcraft store in KC.

I have one from Woodcraft and the rest from AS...so I think that means they all came from the same place originally.
