Slimline wrapped in Mesquite

The slimline is wrapped in Mesquite and the finish is sanding with walnut oil as a lubricant and four coats of Pens Plus with a top coat of wax. This is my first slimline turned and assembled. Your thoughts?

I believe that you started your pen turning with kits other than slimlines ... I tend to recommend that because I find slimlines harder than other kits.
So ... are you happy you chose that start ?

You have made a very nice job of this slimline ... I especially like the two shallow grooves near the nib ... really sets the pen off, IMO !!
