Slimline sans Factory centerband

Attempt at homemade center band on chrome slimline. Blank is Red Oak from the root ball of one that had been cut down for several years. I cut what was left above ground and microwave dried the blank several weeks ago. Blank had a bad spot which required removal. Pink Acrylic scrap filled the bill. Finish is BLO and Shell-a-wax.

I like the red oak barrels. Cool grain. Seeing the center band cut in halves I'm not sure I would make it two pieces next time.

All in a really good effort.

I like it.

That's pretty wood. Nice save from a piece of waste wood.

Piece of wood had check that needed removed. only way was to have upper and lower matching center band
