It's hard to see the details of the pen with that background.
Good point. I like showing the contrast between the rough process and the refined final product. I'll include a studio shot next time!

Thank you! I wanted to try something different. I used a 24k electroplated Rose gold slimline pen kit. I'll have to check if the manufacturer is on the bag, I bough the kits in bulk from a guy on Craigslist. My guess would be penn state industries.

I'd like to get some nose cones of that shape, with the slight bulge and not the usual straight-line taper. . Also the apparently-novel centerband.
 
I like the pen a lot and I'm very drawn to this the blank you used as I've used the same on some of my knives. I'm also very glad that you changed the background of your photo. Like qquake mentioned, those of of with color conditions appreciate a contrasting color so we can see it. Nice job!
