I have done a bunch of pens with thread wrapping for decorations. This one is on a Slimline Pro Click pen I have modified to remove the center band. I think this shows off the ribbon better.
This one was made for my Brother-in-law, who is a Vietnam Vet. It is made out of mystery wood, with an epoxy finish.
