A couple of months back my wife was clearing out Lavender bushes in the garden and I kept a piece of the root as it looked rather interesting. Kept it in the workshop to dry out, then stabilised it and started turning & finished with CA/BLO - well the end result looked rather interesting. Comments would be appreciated.
Please forgive the photo quality; not my forte.

Chris, looks really nice. I guess you never know what you will end up with various roots. It keeps the adventure alive and gives us a very large array of places and things to try.

Chris, That is a stunning pen. I love that wood grain.
Best part about it is that it came out of the Garden.
Proves it is always worth trying different woods, you just never know what beauty is "LURKING" right there in front of you.
I love trying different things.
Congratulations on a great find.
Thank you for showing.

Bob.
