Sumac is beautiful wood and there are many varieties. I have a huge Stagehorn bush which is also a sumac and I saved some timings. It dries well with very little cracking. You have some pretty wood there. I wish the Sumac we have around here got bigger.

Be sure to keep some pieces of that for when you start turning bowls. That would be BEAUTIFUL.
