Skull Scarlet Black

This is a skull pen in antique brass. The blank is an AA called Scarlet Black. I made this for my step-mother's niece, to thank her for taking care of my step-mother and her sister (her niece's mother). I think she'll like it. I couldn't get the crystals in the eyes and clip to show up very well in the photos. They're a lot sparklier in person.

I back painted the blank, painted the tube, and colored the epoxy with black. I think it darkened the blank a bit, which is what I wanted.

The first (and only other) skull pen I made, I left a slight bulge in the bodies. I think I like it better with straight bodies.

Nice pen Jim. I've often wondered about this pen but haven't made the move to try one yet. Maybe I will on my next PSI order.

It's a big, heavy, whimsical pen. But very cool, nonetheless.
