Simple Segment of Alumilite and Rosewood

My casting mold gives me 3 normal blanks and a leftover piece of alumilite resin ca 1/4 thick x 6 inches long. I've been throwing the leftovers away, but yesterday I thought I'd see how a straight line simple segment with wood would look. As usual I try these ideas on a 7mm pen, usually a Designer NT. A couple of pictures are posted below. I'm curious what others think so all comments-positive, negative, or indifferent are appreciated.

Looks nice and as we all know segmenting on a 7mm kit is not the easiest to pull off. You did a good job here. In addition, designs like this require a perfectly centered and straight hole, so kudos on that as well.

I'm a big fan of the contrasting colors and materials. The Rosewood makes the blue come alive and vice versa. Thanks for posting.
